Our Client from Qatar is looking for Professional Candidates Engineer to fill the following vacancies in Doha, Qatar:

1.   Commercial Vehicle / Automotive Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background, preferably graduated as Diesel Technician with Dealership experience.
  • Should be able to communicate in written and spoken English, Arabic desirable but not necessary.
  • Should be trade tested with at least 5 experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and repairing minor and major problems of different types of Commercial Vehicle Automotive equipment.
  • Knowledge in the servicing and maintenance requirements of our franchises would be desirable.
  • Knowledge should include hydraulics, engines, gearboxes and electronics.
  • Knowledge of working manufacturers diagnostics systems and able to look up manufacturers technical information via the internet.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also work unsupervised when necessary.
  • Knowledge of completing internal documentation and manufacturer’s documentation relating workshop activities.
  • Must be prepared to take part in manufacturers training programs.
  • Have a current driving license in country of origin and be prepared to obtain driving license in Qatar as soon as possible.

2.   Cummins Technician (Generator and Commercial Vehicle)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background, preferably graduated as Generator or a Commercial Vehicle with Dealership experience.
  • Should be able to communicate in written and spoken English, Arabic desirable but not necessary.
  • Should be trade tested with at least 5 experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and repairing minor and major electrical and electronic problems of different types of Generators and / or Commercial Vehicle equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical systems fitted to Generators and Commercial Vehicle..
  • Knowledge in the servicing, maintenance and warranty requirements of the Cummins products would be desirable.
  • Knowledge should include Engines, Starters, Alternators and Electronics Units.
  • Knowledge of working manufacturers diagnostics systems and able to look up manufacturers technical information via the internet.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also work unsupervised when necessary.
  • Knowledge of completing dealer internal documentation and manufacturer’s documentation relating workshop activities.
  • Must be prepared to take part in manufacturers training programs.
  • Have a current driving license in country of origin and be prepared to obtain driving license in Qatar as soon as possible.

3.   Cummins Workshop Supervisor ( Foreman)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background, preferably graduated as Cummins Diesel Technician with Dealership experience.
  • Should be able to communicate in written and spoken English, Arabic desirable.
  • Should be trade tested with at least 5 experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and repairing minor and major problems of different types of Generators.
  • Knowledge in the servicing, maintenance and warranty requirements of Cummins franchises would be desirable.
  • Knowledge should include engines, gearboxes and electronics, trucks, generators and plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of working manufacturers diagnostics systems and able to look up manufacturers technical information via the internet.
  • Good IT skills, Microsoft and industry related computer programs, communication by email.
  • Have an ability lead his workforce and plan the daily workload to achieve the optimum productivity and efficiency in the workshop.
  • Knowledge of completing dealer internal documentation and manufacturer’s documentation relating workshop activities.
  • Must be prepared to take part in manufacturers training programs.
  • Have a current driving license in country of origin and be prepared to obtain driving license in Qatar as soon as possible.

4.   Electrician / Air Conditioning Technician (Heavy Equipment and Commercial Vehicle)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background, preferably graduated as Heavy Equipment or a Commercial Vehicle Electrician with Dealership experience.
  • Should be able to communicate in written and spoken English, Arabic desirable but not necessary.
  • Should be trade tested with at least 5 experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and repairing minor and major electrical and electronic problems of different types of Heavy Equipment and / or Commercial Vehicle Automotive equipment
  • Knowledge of Air Conditioning system fitted to Heavy Equipment and Commercial Vehicles.
  • Knowledge in the servicing, maintenance requirements of our franchises would be desirable.
  • Knowledge should include the overhaul of Starters, Alternators and Electronics Units.
  • Knowledge of working manufacturers diagnostics systems and able to look up manufacturers technical information via the internet.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also work unsupervised when necessary.
  • Knowledge of completing dealer internal documentation and manufacturer’s documentation relating workshop activities.
  • Must be prepared to take part in manufacturers training programs.
  • Have a current driving license in country of origin and be prepared to obtain driving license in Qatar as soon as possible.

5.   Heavy Equipment Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background, preferably graduated as a Diesel Technician with Dealership experience.
  • Should be able to communicate in written and spoken English, Arabic desirable but not necessary.
  • Should be trade tested with at least 5 years experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and repairing minor and major problems of different types of moving and stationary heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge in the servicing and maintenance requirements of our franchises would be desirable.
  • Knowledge should include hydraulics, engines, gearboxes and electronics
  • Knowledge of working manufacturers diagnostic systems and able to look up manufactures technical information via the internet.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also work unsupervised when necessary.
  • Knowledge of completing internal documentation and manufacturer’s documentation relating workshop activities.
  • Must be prepared to take part in manufacturers training programs.
  • Have a current driving license in country of origin and be prepared to obtain driving license in Qatar as soon as possible.

6. Workshop Supervisor ( Foreman)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background, preferably graduated as Diesel Technician with Dealership experience.
  • Should be able to communicate in written and spoken English, Arabic desirable.
  • Should be trade tested with at least 5 experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and repairing minor and major problems of different types of Commercial Vehicles.
  • Knowledge in the servicing and maintenance requirements of our franchises would be desirable.
  • Knowledge should include hydraulics, engines, gearboxes and electronics, buses, trucks, sweepers and plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of working manufacturers diagnostics systems and able to look up manufacturers technical information via the internet.
  • Good IT skills, Microsoft and industry related computer programs, communication by email.
  • Have an ability lead his workforce and plan the daily workload to achieve the optimum productivity and efficiency in the workshop.
  • Knowledge of completing internal documentation and manufacturer’s documentation relating workshop activities.
  • Must be prepared to take part in manufacturers training programs.
  • Have a current driving license in country of origin and be prepared to obtain driving license in Qatar as soon as possible.

General skills and qualifications required:

-     Male

-     Age : 27 – 40 years old

-     Education background: Minimum Senior Technical High School and Diploma, majoring in Mechanical and Electrical.

-     Must have excellent spoken and written in English, other language is highly desirable.

-     Working Reference and Computer literate

-     A self starter, energetic, good personality, highly motivated and inspirational

-     Have excellent communication skills

-     Ability to work independently and good team work.

Networking is the most effective way to finding any type of employment! We hear a lot about networking and it is absolutely crucial whether starting a job search. In today's competitive job market, 60% of the jobs are found through networking. But just what is networking?

First Contact
Networking is about making contact with the people you know and the people they know. According to a recent research regarding a US-base multinational company with 5,000 employees, 50% of their junior/senior staff were hired through referrals by existing employees. All vacancies in big corporations are posted internally before being advertised. This is called "Reverse Networking" by big employers and saves them immense costs in job advertisements. This is a common practice with all the big employers across the globe.

Map out your direction
Remember, when networking, you are not asking for a job, you are merely asking, "who do you know that I should contact?" It's important to have a clear objective in mind when you're networking stay focused on your career direction: -
  • What occupation are you pursuing?
  • What information are you seeking?
  • Which companies are you trying to reach?
  • Who would be an excellent lead for you?
Be very clear and specific about this before you go to your next association or business meeting, networking event or cocktail party. The results will surprise you. If you're not sure what you want, try saying, "I'm in transition and looking at different opportunities available to me," instead of saying "I just need any kind of a job." Use every opportunity to network. Networking is an ongoing process, even after you get a job, and it helps you obtain future jobs. Also try to keep building your network continuously.

Additional Networking tips
Assume everyone is important, because they are! Develop your small talk conversation skills. Listen carefully. Introduce the person you just met to someone else. Always carry business cards, even if you're between jobs! Periodically follow up with people you've met with a phone call or note.
